Question

Would my setup work? 2 ISP, 2 modem/router, 1 switch

Mar 24, 2015 5:02AM PDT

Good Day Everyone,

I would like to know if this network setup would work

I have 2 different ISP
They have provided a modem that is also router
a 24port switch
and 20 computers

1. Can I connect the two modems directly at my switch along with the 20 computers?

2. Can I force the games use to ISP 1 only and the browser to use ISP 2 only?

All Computers are installed with Windows 7 Ultimate.
My Internet Service Provider are two different companies and the modems they provided are from different manufacturers (ZTE and Cisco).
My switch is from by TP-Link.
I have ForceBindIP but I have not installed them yet.

So yes, you can dream up invalid after invalid configuration or admit that bonding and routing is done somewhere. For those that don't want to deal with router/gateway configurations an appliance is best.

For folk that want to run this for say "free" they dive in and create some linux powered box to do such bonding and routing.
