giving up that information because that would make it easy for anyone to log onto AIM and to upload pictures or any number of other things that could potentially get him into legal troubles.

As a "for instance", anyone with the screen name and password could upload porn that coukld be associated with the IP address used to set up the account--he could probably prove it wasn't him after some lengthy legal expenditures but it isn't worth it.

but I do not put anything dealing with AO"Hell" on any of my computers.

I would betcha' that by the time I get back to checking on this thread again that someone will have assisted in getting your albums put up for us non-AOL'ers to be able to see.

I look forward to it.

That AOL service will only work for...

others with an AOL screenname and password (they are free and unobtrusive and derived from AOL allowing non-customers to sign up for a screen name to use their Instant Messaging.

The problem comes with your having to know their screen names so they can receive a link to the album.

If you just want to share pictures with anyone and everyone you might try PhotoBucket

or fotopages

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are these pics from your time in Vietnam?

They look so much like the ones I have that my brother took during his tour there. He was in the 101st Airborne, Screaming Eagles Division.

Thank you for sharing.

Worth the wait

In reply to: Worth the wait, Tom - thanks

Yes, '68 $ '69. Most of those are north of Danang and what they called Hai Vahn Pass, the only way thru the mountains towards Hue and the DMZ. It was pretty neat the way the mountains dropped off into the sea, I guess like northern Calif. ( never been there). You can tell some were taken during monsoon season by the flooded paddies. Got more but went nuts getting these where y'all could see them.

Much better...

Couple of those shots looked like the area around Phu Bai and Da Nang.

The blooper sure brought back memories. See you had 16s -- I had an M14 until a few months before leaving the M16s started coming in. (Actually I had a CAR 15 Carbine I "borrowed" from the Air Base in Tuy Hoa until the Sqdn XO saw it and fixed me up with a half gallon of Canadian Club.)

Spent some time on the coast down at Tuy Hoa, Qui Nhon, and Nha Trang when escorting convoys but most of mine was in the Highlands - Pleiku (lots of trips into the Ia Drang), Ahn Kay, Kon Tum, Ban Me Thuot, and An Lao.

My ex disposed of all my pics (which were mostly slides).
