Would It be possible...

To make an external graphics card? Maybe thats a stupid question, but since they can make an external sound card, why isn't the graphics card the same? It would be a great deal to have that option, especially for someone with a laptop.
I'm sure there must be a reason otherwise I would think there would be some available. Am I just missing the point or should I head over to the patent office?

Margi made one.

Sales were slow and not many. The PC-Card slot is a sliver of the bandwidth that AGP has... for example.

But they are made.

Yeah, I guess I heard about that...

... But is the bandwidth issue due to not having direct contact w/ the Mobo, or what? I would think that it would be possible to make something that would work- Could someone create a cable from the AGP?
I'm just curious about this... I have an old gForce 4 that I may see if I can do this with.
Anyone else have any ideas why this isn't a feasible option? There are a lot of external hardware options, and I think a graphics card would be a great one.

No. Here's why.

The clock rates are far beyond what any cable you would be willing to pay for to hit AGP data rates.

Ok, yeah

I figured it would have something to do w/ that. Is there actually a cable made that would handle that, cost aside?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
