Question

Would a MacBook be obsolete when I go to college?

Nov 24, 2012 9:28AM PST

My parents offered to get me a Macbook (pro or air not sure) for christmas. I was wondering if it would still be a good laptop when i go to college in 2 years . Price is an issue so I will probably go with a low amount of storage and get a external hard drive.

If you were to get any computer today, of course it wouldn't be as new or fancy as the laptops that will be available in 2 years, but you could still get most (If not all) of the software updates when you are in college.

Hope this helps,
