Worth waiting for Vista to improve?

Sep 8, 2007 6:36PM PDT

A staff at PC World thinks that Vista is good and that XP wasn't that popular when it came out, but because people use error reporting, they can keep releasing updates.

Would you say this is true? That people will eventually go over to Vista, just like they did with XP?

I'm thinking of saving up for a new Windows CD because I lost my copy of XP, but considering that Vista is likely to improve alot in the future, I'm wondering if I should buy that instead.

If you think it depends on your system, I have 2 GB of ram and dual core pentium 4 processor. I also have about 100gb space. It's about a year old. I also have a decent graphics card so the aero thing would work. whooo!

(NT) Yes, I would consider it worth it in that case.

Actually I improved my experience.

How?

I took UAC out to the wood shed never to return. One other setting and now I find it usable. The widgets are dead too now. And my last change was to turf Vista Aero.

Maybe it's ok once you work it over a bit.
