Experts of Sandvine company that is engaged in P2P (point-to-point) networks maintenance consider that expenses of American Internet service providers (ISP) on fighting computer viruses make up $245 million. This year's cost of fighting computer viruses will reach $ 370 million across the globe.
This sum includes costs of creating special antivirus units and client's support resources. Besides experts predict losses led by probable outflow of clients caused by negative opinion about providers' services.
According to Sandvine estimations, average weekly traffic of malware makes up 2-12% of total data transmission. Segment of such programs reaches 5% even in quite safe networks.
