Nokia seems to be pushing to have me subscribe to my phone for various services.
So, Nokia is typically known for their business/higher-end phones and products (internet tablets, etc.) or very inexpensive phones for India, China, and other developing economies.
BUT - in the U.S. market (and perhaps everywhere except Europe), although they have quality mid/higher-end products, they're harder to find subsidized b/c they're squeezed out in marketshare by RIM, Apple, HTC, Samsung, etc. Even when they come out with whoppers like the N95/96/97! I sooooo want to get a Nokia smartphone for my next phone, but other products seem to fit the bill better for me.
I mean...what gives? I don't watch much TV, but does Nokia advertise on TV? Where do they advertise...or do they?
All this makes me wonder what Nokia is doing. I think if they want to shun mainstream cellphones users, they'd do well in going for a mobile suite of products that work with each other - smartphones, netbooks/MIDs, micro projectors, and wireless accessories. That would be really cool! But if they don't...I just see them loosing more and more marketshare.
Like Molly, I want something other than iPhone to "win"! C'mon already!
Sorry, I had to get that off my mind. So...thoughts?
Best,
Shalin
