World Fast Draw Champion

by MarciaB / January 22, 2006 11:59 PM PST

We met a most wonderful family this weekend - Bob Mernickle and his wife, Sherrie, and one of their daughters, Stormie, from Nevada. Bob just happens to be one of the World Fast Draw champions. He is also a world-renowned custom holster maker. (Kelton doesn't know it yet, but one is being made for him.)

Here are some of the records he holds (from 2004).

Kelton got to do some shooting with Bob, and we all received some demonstrations that had us not only exclaiming in amazement at his speed, but also laughing at his storytelling.

They plan to be back in a couple months or so for some more fun. They also invited Kelton to spend some time with them this Summer for more lessons and fun times.

I will have to set up a photo album to share with y'all as I have some pics of Kelton flanked by two world champions in the shooting world: World Fast Draw Champion and International Single Shot Association Champion. Pretty cool stuff. Happy

I'm sure you were among good company with your shootin' irons strapped on during breakfast. Did your Mom make you take 'em off at bedtime? Happy

We always play the "bad guy" in the role of a young boy's life - except when he gets a boo-boo, then we become the nurturer and protector again for a little while.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
