by Mike_Hanks / February 16, 2008 6:43 AM PST

I have a HP3220n with Vista. When I try to copy and paste anything into a works document, I get an error that says it is too large to paste. But, I am able to paste it into a notepad document. Any ideas to help?

Thanks !!!!

Are you sure...

...the message says "...too large to paste..." instead of "...not enough memory..." ?

What version of Works?

And, like Papa Echo asks, what is the full and exact and litteral text of the error message?
What module of Works: word processor, spreadsheet, database?

Works 8

Works Word Processor.

"The information you copied exceeds the size limit for pasting into the Word Processor. Try reducing the size of your selection, and then copy and paste again"

I can copy and paste text from other Word documents, just not able to paste from any thing copied from a web page.

See if applies.

There's an obvious work-around. First copy from browser to Notepad, then from Notepad to Works. That works for text and gives plain text without formatting, so you have to redo that in Works. If that works, you can try another intermediate program like Wordpad. That has more formatting options, so chances are formatting is preserved better.

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
