Working Offline...

I've searched the threads and can't fine an answer to this question, so here it is.

I'm running Windows XP with IE 7.0 with Comcast Cable. A couple of weeks ago I stated getting the message that I was "Offline" message when I started the browser or Outlook Express. Clicking under "File" does not show the Offline checked in either Outlook Express or IE 7.0.

A quick click to go online results in an immediate connection so this is just a minor irritation. I'm wondering if this is just some new security procedure to put another barrier against the outside world. I can certainly live with it, but in truth, it does bug me a bit.

Any ideas about why I'm offline with an always on cable connection?

Uninstall?

In reply to: IE 7 is causing many problems

Uninstall what in the Control Panel? Re my problem above, I should have probably mentioned we have 3 computer on our home network and they all are doing the same thing (being offline when opening IE.) Thus, requiring a click to go online and get rid of the "Offline" message.
