Put the drive into a new firewire case. These are widely available on newegg.com, amazon.com, etc.
I have a simple question:
Would it somehow be possible to upgrade a Maxtor 4 to be a fire-wire compatible? Forgive my ignorance in asking this question, but would all it require be to add a firewire port into the drive, or would it, even if possible, need a complete overhaul to do that (at which point it would be better just to upgrade the ext. drive anyway)?
I'm trying to edit Final Cut Pro project files from the drive, which is impossible with a USB 2.0 connection. If there would be some way to do this without resorting to firewire by configuring settings or something?
Thank you, o ye mass of collective knowledge. I await your wisdom,
