However your ruleset may require a semicustom app or paid app.
If this planning is not being paid for by the company, that's usually where I find them unwilling to get the app for that.

Where I work they produce a 4 week rota outlining the shifts for employees. The problem is this is done manually and takes up a considerable amount of time every period.
There are 16 trained staff and 12 support staff. they mainly work 3 shifts, early (0715-1515), late (1345-2130) and night shift (2130-0730). 5 from each group are permanent night shift. Depending on sickness holidays etc the night shift is augmented by the rest of the staff as required. 1 trained member works 3 weeks nights then 1 week days.
On the day shifts there must be 3 trained and 2 support staff. Nights must have 2 and 2.
I am looking for a suitable program that will work this out for me. I would insert the names of the staff, whether trained or supprt and the times each member works ie early, days nights.
Is there any software which will do this for me? If there is I am hoping it will be free.
Grateful for any guidance on this
