work of an isp

My query is a little elaborative one..actually I am new to networking and have been working with an ISP....Now I want to understand how an ISP works as they are something which seem quite obscure to me. I am aware of our local infra, how it works, but the backend server working is not yet clear to me..Actually we have been assigned a block of 4 WAN ip address, an SNAT pool and a Dynamic can someone tell me how exactly this works... Microtik is the ISP router, followed by a switch connected to one of its port, with one input of the router goes to the CRM server and the output of the server goes to the the switch...

beyond ISP router is something which probably i dont know ...maybe a bigf5 LTM..on which src nat is performed..some more servers please someone tell how this whole thing works...

For this we google what we need to know.

You have a question too big to cover in this small text box. I'd hit google and watch videos as well until you figure out the big picture.

Most folk that want to get into the ISP realm spend years in school. But I do notice that some want all the knowledge in one reply. They often explode as folk can't condense it down to 3 paragraphs.

well you may answer it...if you want..
I actually need a slight idea how this I will frame out the rest...

Back to the ISP.

I re-read your post and found nothing that could be answered in this small text area except to hit google and take classes.

So back to the ISP but have your questions prepared. You will get rebuffed if you are trying to replace what they teach in schools (or garnered from the web) but should get answers if you are asking how to setup a new server given their services.
