I think you'll find WordPress to be easier.

That's the feedback I'm getting. Both are content management systems but most folk really don't care what car they drive if it gets them there. These are vehicles and you should avoid technical discussions if your intent is as you say and go with the web service that gets you up and running with the minimum of fuss.

Again, I've lost count of the number of times this has been asked and then you start talking about PHH and SQL and they come back with they just want a blog.

Then again, why do this at all when you could do most of the news on your facebook page?

Thank you...!
We already have a facebook page but is really difficult to manage it when you want to add just a little bit of extra content.
So yes, i both tried wordpress and joomla, and the first one it seems to me more user friendly for what we need to do !

In my opinion Wordpress is much easier CMS than Joomla. You can customize it whatever you want. Wordpress is SEO friendly and it has many really good plugins and templates. I used one of the newest wordpress template on my site: . It takes my 10 minutes to make everything.

WordPress Stronger than Joomla due to its Plugins
Dec 22, 2014 4:23PM PST

I will say that you can prefer WordPress as it has a library of more than 17,000 plugins. They will make your work much easier. But Joomla is also one of the best CMS i have ever used. But I should prefer WP more than Joomla.

Wordpress is best

Go for the Wordpress It's the best....

-1- You don't need to be decent in PHP and XML to design a WordPress theme. All you need is to design your theme in HTML, download WordPress, open the default theme (currently Twenty Ten), and look at the little functions that pull posts, images, stylesheets, etc...

-2- Joomla has something called modules, and another thing called components. WordPress has only Plugins.

-3- Decent Joomla plugins are not free, or are out dated, or are poorly coded, but in WordPress, you can find almost any plugin you wanted for your site in WordPress's plugin repository for free.

-4- There are more WordPress fanatics than Joomla. They can help you for free.

-5- Joomla is complicated. It's administrator dashboard is frustrating to newbies; WordPress has taken care about back-end usability.

-6- WordPress supports custom post types, custom nav menus and post formats. Joomla does not (or it does in a difficult way).

-7- About 10% of the whole internet (the websites) is powered by WordPress.
