Use the Appearance > Widgets

Hello frenchs9867 !

The search box and the comment box are widgets in WordPress. You can remove and add widgets in the Appearance > Widgets section of the WordPress Dashboard. You can also edit the header and footer in the Appearance section.

If you do not have the widget option, you may need to edit the code. You can try commenting the code instead of deleting the code as well. The following tutorial can help you with this.
