Be sure to run CHKDSK /F /R /X on all drives and test without any USB devices plugged in.
Also I take it this is a raw W10 install. No other tools like Henry's AV and CD/DVD emulators.

There are no tools or emulators installed on any of the three computers.
The Microsoft Update driver is not reliable here. Also, after the Windows 10 Creator I had to go get a few drivers on some machines and ... Microsoft's Update Driver button was in error about up to date.
-> Let's see a Web Speccy report to see if there's anything else there. But I take it you googled this. I didn't yet as I've worked a few at the office over other app crashes after the update.

I take it the CHKDSK step was completed. I have to ask because a few members skipped that step and we had to wait.

The problem was solved on the two desktops by removing a Quicken PDF driver and a PageMaker PDF driver. It was solved on the Surface Pro 4 by removing a PageMaker PDF driver. The initial tech support tech spent over 3 hours without finding a solution. The second one (Douglas King) fixed it in an hour and a half. Thanks, Douglas!
