Word won't open

Sep 26, 2004 11:36PM PDT

I have WindowsME. Used Word then computer froze, since then everytime I try to access Word, computer freezes again. After pressing Ctl Alt & Del, message appears that Sytems Resources are Dangerously Low. WINWORD not responding. I have ran Scan Disk, Disk Cleanup, Disk Frag and deleted Cookies and Temp files....but to no avail. If anyone can help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

If you have Word, you have a normal.dot

Bob, thank you so much. Perseverance is definitely the answer. I searched and found files simply called "normal" and took the chance and deleted them. It now works. Thanks again Happy

In explorer, the file extension can be hidden by default. I will not know how a person has their system set...

But I see you cured it and for the extra effort I'm sure you'll remember this "Word common cure."
