Word Spelling Problems

Apr 15, 2010 2:51AM PDT

I am using MS Office 2007 Home and student version, and running XP.

I am a writer (aspiring) and working on a novel. Spell check is great except for two things. It accepts some proper names and yet doesn't recognize others. Also it doesn't accept contractions: don't, can't it's, etc. Even when I select Ignore all, it doesn't. I get weary of seeing all the red lines where they shouldn.t be.
How can I fix this?

When you do the next spell check and it highlights a contraction, use the "Add to dictionary" button. It will take time, but that should do it.

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I did want to thank you. This does help and will be an easier fix as I write in the future. Cheers!
