Word Mail Merge to Outlook

Sep 21, 2004 5:10AM PDT

I am using Access 2000 to get a bunch of email addresses, to send out a flyer.
i use Word 2000 to format the mail with the a logo.

but when i mail merge to either Outlook 2k or Outlook Express, both email clients are stripping the email of its formatting and logo!!

i have set them to use HTML/Rich Text mail format.

i played around with the various options for 4hrs!

HELP!!!!!

HINT: SMTPSEND.EXE was what we used.

Find it with Google. I don't use your solution because after many years of living with you know who, changes they make break what used to work.

Sorry, but I just thought you may want an exit.

quick question...regarding inserting an image (logo) into the email body.

i format a body with the logo and send it out to the drafts folder.

now in the drafts folder, when i open the email, the logo/image has been removed and instead it becomes an attachment!!! why is this happening?? :@

is word just stupid or are we who use it!?

In reality, it's an attachment.

I think you need to look at MIME (encoding) and in reality all non-body TEXT is just an attachment and the body of the MIME email uses those attachements.
