Word freeze

May 6, 2010 10:40AM PDT

Word frozen in time. Sounds kinda poetic, doesn't it?

Anyway, I'm using Word 97 in Windows Vista. No kidding.

So I understand MS Office 97 has had problems from XP on. I can't print with it normally. It freezes all to often. Anyone found a fix for this, or even a way to save it, copy it, whatever?

Maybe better try Open Office Writer. It's free and Vista compatible. Or make the big step and buy Office 2010. Should be good for another 13 years or so.

I like Open Office, but

OO takes too long to load, and it seems like every week at least I have to download a new version, it's constantly popping up with 'updates'. Too much hassle.

I wonder if

the problem is with the printer drivers.

Are you sure this printer is compatible with Vista?
