Question

Word Doc's to jpeg

Jul 14, 2014 1:55AM PDT

I have a number of Word Document that I need to convert to jpeg images. Printing and then scanning is too cumbersome so I tried screenshot'ing, but the quality is not too good. Does anyone know a better way to accomplice this?

Word Doc's to jpeg

Thanks to your question I discovered Adobe Acrobat can save pdf files as jpeg. So I printed my Word resume as a pdf file and then saved it as a jpeg graphic file. I wonder if the various wanna-be-Adobe pdf converters can do the same thing...

No need to buy Adobe Acrobat to do it. Irfanview can do it also, and is free. Wonderful program.

I know IrfanView can save pdf files as jpeg, but not Word docs. So you need to convert Word to pdf first.

And the Free CutePDF will do just that for you.

WOW!
No expense involved in the solution.

Even easier

Word 2007 and higher have a built-in Save as pdf option. So no need for cutepdf or such 'pdf printers' for Word documents. So the easiest procedure is
- In Word, save as pdf
- In Irfanview, open the pdf and save a jpg

Didn't Microsoft implement it in the Mac versions of Office?

Probably but, OS X has had the capability

of being able to turn anything into a PDF during the printing stage for a very long time.
