Let's ask this. Would you pay for support? The OEM deal is so you can get the software (bugs and all) without support at the lowest price. Support is no longer automatic but a pay as you go.
Did anyone explain this or offer to fix it for the fee?
Word 2007's Spell Checker is buggy (Office 2007 SP1 on a Lenovo ThinkPad X200 with Windows Vista Ultimate SP1). It often ignores misspelled words. If I uncheck Review/SetLanguage/Do Not Check Spelling, it will then partially re-check itself (solid check box).
By the way, Lenovo will not support Office, even though part of the OEM bundle. And Microsoft will not support it because it was part of an OEM bundle.
