Oct 8, 2011 3:16PM PDT

One of the things I can not figure out in Word 2007 is how to format the diving line between columns in a document.

What happens if you hover the mouse over one of the diving lines then right click the mouse. Does that context menu offer anything?

Tried all of that

There is no way to actually hover over the line itself. You are either in one column or the other when over the page.

Hmm, perhaps this never was an option.

I must admit that, although I did this with 'table' borders and cell dividers all the time, I have never tried it with columns. I can't find anything in Google that suggests formatting column divider lines was ever possible.

I did find two links that might be useful, but neither really addresses the issue you have;

http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/how-to-remove-column-format-in-word-2007.html

http://wordprocessing.about.com/od/wordprocessingsoftware/a/wordcolumns.htm

Sorry. It seems your options are limited to either no columns, or having columns, and if you have columns, to showing or not showing the divider lines.
