Word 2004 mac

Sep 14, 2005 3:34AM PDT

Hi, I am trying to make business contracts with word 2004 for mac.
I want to be able to write a paragraph of word and lines and be able to fill them in later with information and keep the words and lines from moving.

For example: I the contractor __________. agree to provide the purchaser__________, On this date__________ with the following services_______, ____________, ____________, etc

I have tried to lock this paragraph but cannot write anything.
I cannot find the layering function, If that will work.

What is the best way to do this.
Thank You
Richard Shapiro

If I were you, I would not try any layering or any other fancy tricks. The easiest way to create ''blanks'' and have the ability to fill in later with info would be to use textboxes (under the ''Insert'' menu). Just draw a small textbox (and you don't have to draw 4 text boxes, just draw one, copy it, paste it and place it as many times as you want). Don't worry about the size of the box, it will resize when you type (I hope, I'm taking an educated guess here, but even then, text boxes have grab handles to resize/scale). I hope this works out fine...

I have a PC with XP Pro, so your menus might be a little different than mine.

WORD 2004 TEXT BOXES

HI, KEN, Thank You for the info. This works great. I am able to take out the boxes after I put in the text by choosing no lines , clicking twice on the text box.
