Word 2002

Aug 27, 2005 11:37AM PDT

I downloaded a font a few months ago.

Recently, due to an unexpected problem I had to conduct a Standard System Restore on my computer.

Although my documents were backed-up, I forgot to back-up my downloaded fonts.

I had made a logo with the font in WordArt in Microsoft Word 2002.

I can find the font again from the internet but I don't know its name. I've tried to open the logo with WordArt but in the box which shows the font being used it is blank.

Is there a way I can find out which font was being used?

Thanks in advance.

Try this on a spare copy.

1. Open it and SAVE AS ... RTF.
2. Now open the .RTF with the NOTEPAD application and look for font names.

Not there? Copy said file to another copy. Rename the copy to .TXT and open with NOTEPAD and look through the soup of nonsense for a fontname.

Not pretty, but this is how we look for such.
