Won't download

by pwa21254 / October 14, 2009 12:53 PM PDT

Everytime I try to download anything on my computer, it goes to 99% and freezes. It won't completely install anything. What could be wrong?

Well Sounds to me like a read write error with your HD and the file you downloaded. Does it do it to every file you DL? IF so try and connect another HD to it and test dl that file you downloaded.

Tried A Different Browser?

If you don't already have it, then please download the Firefox browser installer on a separate computer, transfer it to a flash drive, then move it to the problem machine and install it. The link is below:

Unfortunately, you've not told us anything about your computer such as the operating system, whether you've scanned for malware (Think Malwarebytes as a good free removal tool), make and model of the computer, etc.. Such information would certainly help narrow down the problem.

Hope this helps and let us know more.

Had to start over
by pwa21254 / October 30, 2009 2:19 PM PDT

I ended up backing up the files I needed and reinstalling Windows XP. It wiped everything off my computer and I had to download everything again - all my programs, drivers, etc.
