It sounds as if Windows Media Player is either not installed as a plugin or another program has grabbed the wmf file format. I know of two things that can cause this. One is the installation sequence. If Netscape was installed after WMP, the plugin might not be found. Netscape has also had a plugin hierarchy meaning a plugin can show to be present but not be used if it's not first on the list. Sometimes this can be resolved by shuffling the appropriate files in the plugin folder. What I would try first is to reinstall Media Player....the latest version. This might help. If you don't know, Netscape 8 is also available. It's, IMO, not perfect but much better than 7.2. It might be better aware of WMP. Good luck.
