WMP doesn't recognize my Dell AXIM x51v

I recently purchased a new Dell Axim x51v, and I have been trying for months to sync it with Windows Media Player 10 on my laptop, but WMP doesn't find my PDA. I went to the Windows Media web site and checked their forum and saw that quite a few others are having the same problem--but there was not one answer posted, so I'm still trying to find a solution. I am able to successfully sync everything else such as Outlook, etc. The WMP web site states that my device is a "Plays for sure" device, but that's not true in my case. I'm very frustrated. Anyone got an answer?
