Question

WLM Yahoo account error message

Oct 9, 2012 8:22AM PDT

Hello,
About 3 months ago, my yahoo account which is linked to WLM
(I pay a yearly fee for this) stopped working. No, I didnt make any
chages in my computer the day before, this just "happened". The message
I received is: Unable to send or receive messages... etc etc.
Windows Live Mail error: 0x800CCC0F. I was unable to fix this and after
a month and some days, all of the sudden, all my emails went through!!
and again, I havent done any changes in my computer. Now this same
problem happened again and I really dont want to wait another month or
so for this to be fixed out of the blue. I deleted the account, configured again, checked the ports so please dont give me that advice. it doesnt work.Any ideas PLEASE?Thank you!

You're not the only one. Sorry but as only one of my friends pays for this Yahoo SMTP/POP3 I can't check today why Yahoo's changes broke it.

Since you are adverse to checking things can you supply what you used so I can check it out?

Hi Bob!
Thanks! I am not adverse to checking, its that I already checked!
I have read a few forums and I did all what they sugested:
checked ports, checked configuration, deleted and recreated the account, paused the antivirus... what annoys me Bob is that it happended "suddenly". My only hunch but I am not 100% sure is that it may have happened after a Windows Update but I cannot confirm this and anyway, I ran more updates after this and the problem is still there....
Here is the message. Any ideas??

Server: plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com
Windows Live Mail error I: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol; POP3
Port: 995

PS I am using Windows 7, home edition on a HP all in One TouchSmart.
