Dave,

Red and Yellow kill a fellow.
Red and Black venom lack.

Learned that as a kid. We have coral snakes in Texas.

A coral snake has the Yellow Bands touching Red and is poisonous.

King/Milk snakes have Red touch black, and are nonvenmous.
The Western Coral snake may have a more white
looking yellowish an touching red which is also poisonous.
