wiselink pro and sound sync

Jan 2, 2009 2:17PM PST

I have a Samsung LCD 7 series 52" and have tried to play a avi movie (on two different flash drives) in my Samsung and find that the audio does not sync with the video. I can play the movie in my computer (iMac system 10.5.6) from the flash drive and everything syncs well but not when I play it from the wiselink connection.

Any ideas??

I've noticed something similar
Jan 2, 2009 11:36PM PST

I've noticed something similar: I have a captured HDTV stream (in other words, a bit-for-bit copy of what went out over the air) that the TV will play the sound about 1500ms before the video. When I was watching the show live, there was no problem with sound sync.

When I watch the same stream on my PC the sound is in sync.

It looks like there may be some differences in the processing of streams based upon the source.

How could I correct the problem? I am using a Kingston flash stick..

Possible...

It's possible, but those symptoms may indicate that the movie file was recorded that way.

But it plays fine before it goes on the stick and if I burn it to DVD but not when played in the TV
