1. There is Wifi. You look for a hotspot sign and follow the directions to connect up.
2. There is a wider ranging system with another card from some telephone companies. It can be pricey (similar to cell phone charges) but gives connections outside of Wifi ranges.

I recently purchased a laptop with an Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection installed in it. I don't want to setup a home wireless network. I want to be able to connect "on-the-go" when I'm traveling for business and/or vacation. I have no knowledge of how to do this. Can anyone lead me through it, or suggest when I can find some education to help me understand how "roaming" wireless works?
