Verizon DSL used to give you a dial up plan...

You can't take the DSL modem... You'll have to use the old phone modem.

Verizon when I had them offered a dial up service that was complimentary to my account. Never used it but you may have to try that.

If You've Got a Dial-up Modem, Try The Free Netzero

..You can create a free account and plug it into the phone jack.. Remember to use only "local" telephone access numbers so there aren't any long distance calls.

You also might consider checking the local internet cafe for access.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, i already have accounts with AOL and MSN. I am going to try the local access numbers as suggested. I could go to the library where they have wi fi. There is also a cafe as well in town but prefer to have instant access to the internet throughout the dayHappy
