Question

Wireless USB keyboard with Samsung PN51E550?

I just bought a Samsung PN51E550. It looks like it accepts bluetooth keyboards (I don't own) one, but I'm curious whether the USB slots on the TV can be used for wireless USB keyboards. I have a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo and I would love to use it with the TV. I'm a little nervous about causing problems if I plug them into the TV and they start trying to install device drivers that the TV does not want to accept.

Has anyone tried this?

Clarification Request
Many wireless keyboards are supported?

I just bought a 40" Smart TV (model code: UN40EH5300FXZA) specifically for the web browser and internet functionality, but using the remote to enter website url's and other basic tasks is too difficult to be practical. I would love to use a wireless keyboard/mouse combo.

Should I concentrate my financial resources to a specific brand or type of wireless keyboard or will any standard USB version work?

I'd rather not buy and return multiple products to find one that works, I prefer to only make one purchase and be happy!

Thank you

Hey ryanfairlie,

I'd like to be able to tell you which one to buy. But I hope you understand why I can't seem to be favoring particular brands.

For what it's worth, I successfully used a Logitech MK320 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse (purchased in 2010) with my TV.

I'll give it the old college try and see how things turn out. Thanks for replying to my question and providing some details.

Worked great!

I went with the wireless keyboard/mouse combo from Logitech (MK 320) and it worked great, just plug and play!

Thanks

JoeSammamish,

Nope, it won't do any harm, and in fact, many keyboards are supported. Go ahead and try it!
