where is the router?
by linkit / August 4, 2006 1:55 AM PDT

Your wireless network adapter (wireless USB dongle) needs to connect to another wireless device. That is usually a wireless router or wireless access point (WAP).

Q: Is your ADSL modem a combination modem-router? If so what make & model?

The typical setup is the following:
Internet --- broadband modem --- broadband router > > > computers

--- wired
> > > wired and/or wireless

Note that you could have a modem-router instead of a modem plus a router.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
