wireless usb adapter and suse 10

I have installed suse 10 on one of my computers. It does not see my usb devices. My mouse or my wireless usb adapter. The more I read about wireless internet I belive I will just run a cat 5 cable to it and forget wireless. But I would like to use the mouse. The usb is a add on card could the drivers be missing? I had it installed before I started doing such things so I don't even know if it has drivers.
