Question

wireless streaminternet radio from macbookpro to home stereo

Nov 23, 2011 5:00AM PST

I am having a really hard time finding a device that will allow me to wirelessly play internet radio on my macbookpro thru my home stereo system. Internet searches turn up devices like "sirocco wireless audio bridge" which is no longer sold, or "sonos" which requires you buy their separate speakers or "netgear MP101" which doesn't appear to be apple compatible. Even the apple products don't appear to stream internet radio, just i-tunes stuff. Is there a reason a simple cheap solution is so hard to find? I can't be the only person who wants to play music on my mac thru decent speakers without a hard wire.
