Question

Wireless Streaming Laptop to Home Cinema System...

Dec 26, 2014 5:12AM PST

Evening all, I hope you are well.

I recently got a home cinema system (Samsung HT-H5500) and I'm trying to stream my laptop through it to benefit from the sound quality my TV lacks.

The unit has wireless capabilities, but no HDMI input, only a USB input and a HDMI output for the TV.

Is there a way of successfully playing media on the laptop through the HT-H5500, whether it be wired or wireless?

Also to note, the laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 and has a HDMI output.

Cheers in advance

1. use an audio cable from your laptop to the AUX IN on the HT-H5500

2. Purchase a wireless audio adapter.

3. The HT-H5500 supports Bluetooth streaming. It won't sound as good, but you can purchase a Bluetooth transmitter for your laptop to stream to the HT-H5500.
