There are issues about hooking up directly then trying WIFI. Best to disable the ethernet entirely so you don't repeat a hard lesson.
I have a problem with my wireless router its a NexxtSoultions Router IEEE802.11b/g 54Mbps and i just recently installed well re-installed Windows Xp Professional on my computer and now that i'm trying to connect wireless again it's not working i can connect to the internet directly from the modem with no problems can anyone help me please? when i try using the ping 192.168.1.1 on the cmd sometimes it's the response it should be then sometimes it says request time out or unable to connect to host . also when i setup the wireless router to my modem and pc i receieve and send out packets but i just can't get online and on the laptop it doesn't reconize the network it says default and on the default i still cannot get online what should i do hit me up if u need more information
