Again, no one can guarantee that "performing" issue. With all that can be configured, it is possible to make it not work. Disregarding RF and mis-configurations, you have the right parts.
Please bear with me on these relatively easy answers, of which I have no answers to. I am looking to network 3 computers plus an Xbox (LIVE), of which 2 comps' are desktops and 1 being a Toshiba Satellite, A15-S157, notebook (wi/fi compatible). I would like the 2 desktops to connect through an actual line while the Toshiba notebook and Xbox through wireless. The 2 desktops (Windows 98) are for casual use while the Toshiba (Windows XP) for business. Of the routers compatible with Xbox, the D-Link 802.11g Xtreme G Wireless Router (Model: DI-624) has caught my eye, but I am unsure if it can do what I want? Is this a solid performing router that can connect the desktops through an actual line, while the notebook and Xbox through a wireless connection?
If anyone has any questions I'll be happy to provide what I can. Thank you to anyone who can help!
