Now you know why my office won't go near them. We use powerline networking and other solutions. Here's a common picture for getting WiFi at another room.

I'm trying to set up a wireless repeater N in my local pub as their router is upstairs and they want wifi in the bar downstairs.
Set up works fine using the the wizard but I can't get any devices to connect, for example my phone can see the repeater, I click connect but it just loops twice around 'obtaining ip address...' then says something like 'can't connect, AP is not is use/AP is not available'.
I just brought it home, followed the exact same process and I'm sat here with my laptop and phone connected to the repeater and it's working champion.
The only difference is that I have a Virgin router and the pub has a BT router... but I would have thought the process would be the same for both? Any ideas please?
