First, I would access the router settings and make sure the SSID
broadcast hasn't been disabled.. For most, making sure it's "displayed"
is the best course of action. Next, I would access each of the other two
computers, eliminate the "old" access password and maybe even the
entire wireless connection setting in Control Panel/Network
Connections/Wireless Network Connection properties/Wireless Networks
tab, then attempt to access the wireless again, this time, using the
correct password/passphrase being used by the new computer....
Hope this helps....
I recently added a used laptop to my network and the other two laptop's on the net no longer connect to the net.I used the Intel-Pro wireless app to configure the new laptop. Now i noticed that my security level has changed from "open WEP" to WPA2.Did i inadvertently change the wireless settings for my Netgear router and how do i get the other two laptop's back online.I also noticed a yellow checkmark next to my SSID profile that wasn't there before. All computers are running Win XP Pro service pack3.Thanks and need help!!!!!
