antenna to a more horizantal aspect. You may get a better vertical reach.
I have a Parkervision wireless router 802.11b set up in one room of the house. My computer which is on the floor above has a Belkin USB wireless adapter 802.11g.
The PC is XP Pro 3.2 MHz, 1 MG RAM, 80 GB HDD.
I was told by the Parkervision tech support that the problem is the waves do not travel upwards, and one way to solve this is to add an access point between the two PCs. The house being a split level, the wireless PC is not directly above the room with the router but it is to the side and up (if u know what I mean).
Do you think I should invest in an access point or do you have another suggestion?
No, placing the router on the top floor is not an option. For several reasons, the router needs to be in that location.
Thanks for the help.
