I have realtek embedded sound media. It was working just fine. I subcribed to a roadrunner service and when they put the disc in, all of the sudden I got pop ups and when I was playing a cd in realplayer and I am online I clicked and lost my sound. But the music is still playing. Because of the pop up situation I got rid of roadrunner and went with another DSL service. I still have the problem of the no sound. If I shut off the computer and restart it will come back on. I have cleaned all active x files and that sort of thing. I dont know what else to do. Any suggestions? Help.

Hello all. I have a Sharp PC Notebook and am unable to connect to any wireless network (a bit flustered over the whole ordeal.) My computer stopped being able to connect to wireless randomly a couple days ago....this computer has worked fine with no problems for 2 years. I had not installed any new programs or hardware when this change occurred.
The steps I have taken are as follows 1. called our cable internet provider and had them reset the connection, the connection is fine because everyone else in the house can connect to wireless with no problem 2. called my wireless router technical support....the wireless router is working fine and everyone else can connect to it 3) connected to LAN line - my computer connects fine through a LAN connection, just not wireless 4) uninstalled and reinstalled my realtek wireless adapter driver...this still did not alleviate the problem.
The wireless router tech support guys said that it had to be a problem with my adapter. Can someone please advise me if there is a way to proceed to repair my wireless adapter on my PC? Or do I need to replace something? I'm not terribly computer literate - but have a roommate who is (she directed me to this site) and she'll help.
Thank you so much to anyone who can help!!
