Wireless print server suggestions for AIO

by ninety9 / March 1, 2007 3:37 PM PST

I have a single laptop(windows xp), netgear wnr834b wireless router, dsl connection, and just got a canon mp530 AIO printer. For convenience, I would prefer to print wirelessly, and am looking for advice on a print server for this setup. The printer and router are next to each other in the same room so a wireless model shouldn't be necessary, and do the wireless models sacrifice any performance? Also, (per searching discussions on this topic from last fall) in a typical network setup(more than one pc) I understood print servers would render the AIO printers into just 'printers'- Is that the case for a situation like this where the parent pc is the only one in the network? I need all of the services of this AIO printer for my office. Anything on this lately...? Thanks

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
