Is the WAP setup with WPA, MAC filtering, NAT firewalls, and so on?
Is the system acquiring an IP and so on correctly, is it set to view the WAP as its primary DNS and gateway, etc?
This is driving me crazy. Edimax PCI wireless card in Acer desktop PC talking to Netgear WAP. Set it up in ten minutes and it worked fine for two months. Then the customer flattened the PC using the ACER cd and restored it to its factory set up. No problem, went out and set the wireless card up again but it connects to the access point for just one or two seconds and then drops it again. I have my laptop sitting next to it talking to the WAP no problem. I've replaced the PCI card but it behaves exactly the same. I've dropped Windows firewall to no avail and there is no other firewall software installed. If I ping the WAP with -t option it cycles through hardware error, destination host unreachable and no reply as the connection comes and goes. Any ideas?
Thanks
