Wireless or Wired ? For connecting XP Media Center 2 TV's

by yogabro / November 23, 2005 12:23 AM PST

I am running a Sony computer with Media Center Edition XP('04) operating system. I use the computer to watch cable TV, slides and music of course and would like to get a new TV for my living room to do the same.
What is the best and/or easiest way to 'wire' the signal to another room about 20 ft. away?
Digital wireless media router ? How is picture quality ?

do it with the cable. You'll have to run another lead. You can still go wireless LAN tho.

and life goes on...

Soon you can.

But it won't be cheap and it may not be what you expected.

Here's the deal. The XBox 360 is part of a new system to do part of what you ask. But I wonder if you will drop 1 to 2 grand making this work.

wireless network tv

there is a tv tuner at that appears to have an ethernet connection. it would seem that if you connected it to a wireless router with a hardwired ethernet port you could broadcast tv over your wireless network.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
