Flipping from wired to wifi can invoke "issues" since Windows may need a helping hand to release and renew the IP information.
NO OS WAS NOTED SO I CAN'T SUPPLY THE COMMAND FOR THIS.
For NT/2000/XP I would open a command line and type ...
IPCONFIG /RELEASE
Then
IPCONFIG /RENEW
Then I would use
IPCONFIG /ALL
To see all the numbers to see if it setup proper.

I have 2 computers wired to a wireless DSL router (Belkin, FSD 6231) (the main one, where the internet account is set up, runs Windows 2000). When I connect my laptop (which has Windows XP) with the LAN, it works with both the home network, and to get on the internet, with no login required. However, when I unplug the LAN and use the wireless (with a Belkin 54g Wireless Notebook Network Card), I can only access the home network. The wired computers and the laptop can communicate, however, the laptop cannot get on the internet with out the cable. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? Thank you!!
