Wireless n purchase

Feb 3, 2007 12:10AM PST

I am finally going to purchase a wireless network for my home. I have been reading alot about wireless N and know that I should purchase it. However, all the comments and reviews I am seeing are from mid summer 06. So, my obvious question is, should I still wait to get N or have they worked out all the bugs and it's safe to purchase now OR should I just give up on N all together and just stick with the G with Pre-N technology? Any help will be appreciated.

Stick to 802.11g standard

I would advise you to get the one with 802.11g standard. Don't use 802.11 (draft) or pre-n product, because it's not the final version yet. Since there are other versions of 802.11n draft standard to be issued and will not finalized until 2008, the compatibility and upgrade of these pre-n wireless products will be an issue.

Works fine

I have Wireless N installed in my home and to tell you, I'm 14 years of and am a freshman and got everything working perfectly. I bought the ragular router and 3 of the PCI cards. Work fantastic. Average connection speed 250-300 Mbps.
