Question

Wireless mouse trouble

Hi....i started having trouble with my wireless mouse....the left click behaves as the right one....the right click works fine......also it selects and deselects almost everything, it scrolls randomly around the page.....i have a microsoft wirelessm obile mouse 1000, DELL latitude E6400, windows 7 64bit.....i changed the batteries, changed the ports, uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers for my mouse, tried disabling touchpad....nothing works...is this a mouse problem or a PC one ? i wouldn;t want to spend money on a new mouse and find the same problem with it......thanks !

Let's see the screen shot of your mouse settings?

In reply to: same problem

Put it on imgur or another image site so we can see it.

And swapping doesn't swap?

In reply to: Screenshot

As this is Microsoft, change, click Apply, test.

And if you install a mouse driver, see if Microsoft updated it. Here I never install Microsoft's keyboard or mouse software. Long stories.

So , you tried another mouse ?

In reply to: Still the same

What kind of mouse did you try ?
I'm curious if a non MS mouse did the same thing?
None of this makes sense unless you have the settings wrong.

Malware or Tech Prank.

In reply to: It still sounds like some setting to me

Could be settings. I had to dig a little to find the tech prank registry setting. A lot of malware does the darnedest things and here's what folk get made about. Removing the malware does not undo the setting.
